Russian mini-sub...40,000,000 rubles...Scorpio unmanned vehicle...$20,000,000...seeing daylight after three days on the bottom...

...PRICELESS!!

THEY'RE OUT!!!

GMT, August 7, 2005
03:32 Mini-submarine AS-28 lifted to the surface at 07:26 a.m., Moscow time, with all seven crew members - Russia Pacific Fleet command

Details will no doubt be forthcoming, but I'm sure I can safely say there are seven very happy Russian submariners, and a whole host of thankful submariners around the world.

Tonight we'll be toasting your rescue, guys! I for one prefer that to a memorial service.

Welcome back to the surface!

(All prices approximate...except the "Priceless" one, of course!!)

Can I raise a glass if not a submariner? Well, I will anyway. Excellent news.
